DESCRIPTION:Capture water while it is raining this fall to use on your landscape later! \nJoin our free online workshop to learn the basics of DIY Rainwater Harvesting\, then pick up a rain barrel to take home! \nhttps://rwhmansfield.eventbrite.com \nRainwater harvesting is great for North Texas because you can keep some of the rain we get during the spring and fall to use during our hot and dry summers. Even a small roof area can produce a usable amount of water during an average rainfall. From huge cisterns to small DIY barrels\, capturing rainwater can be done by anyone. \nAttend this workshop to learn the ins and outs of rainwater! No purchase necessary! \nLearn about: \n\nHow much water your roof will produce in a year\nWhere to put your rain barrel to capture the most water\nHow to install a barrel\nHow to hook up and use your new water source\nHow to build your own 50 gallon rain barrel with just a few supplies from the hardware store\n\nMansfield\, Texas Residents only: Pick up a free rain barrel to pick up on the week of the class! \nWhen this workshop is in-person\, attendees get to build their own rain barrel and take it home. Since we are unable to do in-person workshops at this time\, in addition to the free workshop\, we are offering the option to get a free barrel. \nA 50-gallon rain barrel can be reserved and picked up. Date to be announced. Barrels will be available for pick up in Mansfield. More details will be provided upon registration and workshop participation. \nThis is a free online event.
